My niece on her facebook page was listing all the events she still has to do. What do you still have to do or want to do?
I would like to go to the Ex this year.
I would also like to go to Niagara Falls.

There are so many places I would want to go. My summer is almost half day done. There's just 41 days for school to start again and we have nine more days for summer school to finish. This is so complicated.
ReplyDeleteI know that right after summer school, I'm going to cottage with all of my cousins for four days, like evryyear, and probably got to the beach, have a sleepover.
I still have to finish Bronze Cross this summer, and I'm planning to go shopping with my sister and brother, just some quality time together.
We just plan things on the way, like going to the movies as a family in the middle of August. It's going to be a wonderful summer for me!

The end of July is just the beginning of my vacation... for the past couple of weeks I was stuck in summer school, struggling to survive the waves of work.
ReplyDeleteCurrently the only thing in my mind is to get rid of the summer school stuff. But once August has arrived, my schoolbag is going to be under my bed.
And things I wanted to do?
I would like to do puzzles. Tonnes of puzzles. :)
Michael
Well, I can say that I want to stop going to summer school, but I've still go a week and a half to go.
ReplyDeleteBesides that, my family and I are going to BC and the Rockies for two weeks. I've heard that it's very beautiful there, and I hope to take lots of gorgeous pictures and relax =).
I would also like to go on a cruise to the Caribbean. I doubt it'll happen this year, but next year's vacation is open for ideas!
On a more sombre note, I still have a Harmony exam to pass (right before my birthday too) and I'm struggling with it.
=P

ReplyDeleteAthuyla, Don't count the days, it is going too fast for me. BTW, teachers count the days til school ends starting in May.
ReplyDeleteMichael, Hide that book bag. What kind of puzzles do you like?
Nancy, a cruise sounds nice. Anytime away with family and friends is great.

This year, when summer started, I thought it was going by pretty slow, now, I realized that half the summer is already over.
ReplyDeleteSo far half this summer, I haven't really been doing anything, but for the rest of this summer I don't really have anything big planed, I just want to hang out with some old friends I haven't seen in a while, and probably go to the beach, as usual.
Vinojen J.
I really want to go to Banff National Park for the first time. My friends are planning a road trip! I'm so excited.
ReplyDeleteFor me, I have a lot of things still left to do during my summer 2010. I have yet to do my G1 test and perhaps volunteer at The Ex.
ReplyDeleteSo far this summer I have only been to NYC, but our family has no plans on going anywhere else this summer. But yeah, I probably will go to like CNE or something like that.
ReplyDeleteBilly Joe Bob
There are too many things I want to do--I have a feeling I'll never finish them all! There are so many books-too many books-waiting to be read, my room has to be organized, I would love to learn how to cook... The list goes on and on and on!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, when my cousins come visit in August, I'm definitely going to have to find some way to entertain them, which I think will be quite hard. We could go to Niagara Falls together, or visit the CN Tower...but I don't think my cousins would be very interested in going.
But I'm sure my family and I will manage one way or another to make them like Toronto! Either way, I plan to enjoy the last half of summer to the max!
Vinojen - Summer does goes fast so whatever you do enjoy yourself.
ReplyDeleteAnna, Banff is supposed to be beautiful. One day, I hope to take the train out west and see the west coast. The train ride is boring through the Prairies but it is one of the things you should do in your lifetime. My sister and her husband went out west one time and did not want to come back.
LHTL - Good luck on your G1. I flunked the first time.
I have not been to NYC since I was a child. Time to go again. What did you like
Ashley, having relatives visit can be fun. Don't worry, they just want to be with you!
Hmm. What to do? I still am yet to teach myself the basics of the acoustic guitar. I would also like to pass my grade one (piano) rudiments with first class honous with distinction. The one other thing that would make my summer is if I could finish my list of books that I would like to have read sometime in this life. So far I have read three. I have read: The Shack, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, and The Shadow of the Wind.
ReplyDeleteI still have yet to read:
Pride and Prejudice
Blue Like Jazz
The Angel's Game
Three Cups of Tea
The Hobbit
Life of Pi
and last but not least
Sarah's Key.
Lots to do, lots to do. Actually, it is more like lots I want to do, lots I want to do. Let the fun begin.
This summer all I have been doing is attending session to a program my parents signed me up for - Vision Youth :(
ReplyDeleteSummer is already half way over and I didn’t even get to do anything special yet. However, in August, I’m going to a Europe cruise.
This will definitely be a fun trip and I can’t wait to go to Italy!!
Janice
Hi, Janice:
ReplyDeleteVision Youth sounds interesting but I must admit Italy and a European cruis sound even better.
Whatever you do, it sounds like you are going to have a great summer!

I plan on reading a few more books of my own. I want to balance my social life and my book time.
ReplyDeleteI want to read the Harry Potter Series again, paying more attention this time to detail.
Also, I wish to contribute more to my very own novel. A story told through a 15 year old point of view and his struggle in his family as his father is an alcholic.
My friend asked mw a similar question and I jokingly answered "to eat everything on the McDonald's menu in ONE sitting". Of course, that would be something shown on MTV's "The Buried Life" probably.
ReplyDeleteFor me, I'm volunteering for the rest of the summer after already finishing a credit course in digital imaging/photography (greatest class ever). I've already met some amazing people so I think that it was a July well spent. In my opinion, I think that the best plans for summer are the ones that you don't plan at all! However, that's not the case for me. I just *have to* schedule everything from each minute to every hour. Like Renae, I want to read Life of Pi but not so much the Hobbit... I'm not a big fan of The Lord of the Rings. I think I am just going to hang out at Fairview Mall, Vaughan Mills and Eaton's Centre when I'm free and drinking Jones bottled soda. Lastly, job-searching! :) As well as consuming a green tea mocha frap at Starbucks. That's my to do list for the summer.

For me, I suppose this is actually the start of summer for me.
ReplyDeleteAfter a very tiring and hectic month of summer school (Careers/Civics Credit for Gr. 10), and having to finish Bronze Medallion at the same time, it is finally all over.
I can now say bye to July and hello to London and Paris!
That all starts next week though, so for now i'll just kick back at home, strum some of those strings on my guitar, and dulge (I hope that's how you spell it) myself in enterainment.
Ironic how I blog his on the last day of July..too. (:
Anyhow, best of luck to the Angus Glen Library Staff while I'm away!
there are so many things left to do this summer. ok so its already august and there is only a few more weeks until summer is over. so i plan to:
ReplyDeleteshop til i drop, go to Great wolf lodge, finish my history exam (dont ask its for piano), watch movies, read books and get more volunteer hours in the community. i am going to spend time with my friends and family and just have fun!!
-Lillian
Renae, I have yet to read The Shack but was impressed that the dad wrote it for his kids.
ReplyDeleteOne of our staff could have used your information from Shadow of the Wind, this week because they had bookclub today and had not read the book.
Cool story bro - I admire you for writing a story. Some teen authors would put extra information in for a topic like that: for example, help is available for teens whose parents are alcoholics through things like Alateen and the Addiction Research Foundation. A family doctor or guidance couselor can also give contact information for support for the person or family members. The library also has resources and medical databases if you need information to write your story.
Michael - Your digital imaging class sounds awesome.
Nick - have a great time on your trip! We all would like to be going.
Lillian - we have a staff member who regularly takes her kids to Great Wolf Lodge. I would like to go there.
